Approved paintballfields...

Postby FUBAR on Thu Jan 06, 2005 3:15 pm

This is just a list of sites where we already played and a short description of it. This also means this list will grow and can be adjusted...
This does NOT mean at all that fields not listed suck. We just didn't visit them... yet!

Fort van Stabroek - Stafort - http://www.stafort.be
Paintballsite located near Antwerp (Port), in an old Fortress of the old defensive cirkel around the port of Antwerp, dating back to the early 1900's. Very nice location, verrry big terrain. Excellent for big groups!
Downsides are that it's not too well organised and there hasn't been put too much tought in the obstacles. But nice for woodsball and big groups.

National Paintball Games - Merchtem - http://www.npg.be
Indoor terrain, they have 2 big halls with different levels and towers, nice to go with a big group. Pretty cool. Also cool fact is that they are the european warehouse for Severe paintballs, so you can get them there for a good price.
However, the field is very slippery and sometimes dangerous. Also when playing with expensive gear... beware of the sand!

Area 23 - Eeklo - http://www.area23.be
Indoor field managed by some friendly guys. Not too big but enough play area to go for team practice or for with a medium group. They are in the midst of installing a speedballfield... nice!
Also, they are a belgian distributor of the Maxs-sport.de paintballstore.
[glow=red]update:[/glow] The sup'air field has been installed and they smashed down some walls. This means the play area is bigger now, wich is a good thing. The sup'air field is pretty cool and big enough. The floor has been covered with carpeting, very nice for competition, but also slippery and you need to wear knee protection. Good job!
On a side note, this also means the rec ball field is gone.

Gladiator sports - Almere (Amsterdam-Holland) - http://www.gladiator.nl
Well organised complex of outdoor fields. They have a bunch of different field types... speedball, woodsball etc... Cool!
They also have a shop and their own brand of paintballs.

P8CE Amsterdam - Osdorp/Amsterdam (NL) - http://www.P8CE.com
Coolest sup'airball field seen yet. Very cool playing arena outdoors. Pro shit!
Unfortunatly the organisation is going thru some transitions wich means no competition in 2006... yet. But they are working on a new project.

Paintball Gent - Gent - http://www.paintballgent.be
One of the newest and bigger fields in flanders. This field features a very diverse rec'ball field with 3 areas (urban, obstacle course and threnches&hills). For recreational players this is the shit. You play indoor, protected from rain and wind, you get the newest gear and a pretty nice field. Things are still changing and constantly improving.
There is also a bar and facilities. nice! Plus they´re very easy to reach within the city ring of Ghent and have alot of parking space!
There is still a big empty space next to the rec'ball field where a sup'air field on carpet is being installed. stay tuned.

more to come...
